Not all stress is bad - but we all know that too much of even a good thing becomes a not-so-good thing! And much of the stress we deal with today is NOT the good variety. I firmly believe that inadequate stress management and self-worth issues are at the root of many (probably most) of our quality of life issues (such as weight management, smoking, etc.). It is easy to develop a habit of turning to food and/or cigarettes to numb stress or feelings of inadequacy. That is just a short list - but I am betting that any one of these would be enough to convince most of us that reducing stress is worth a small investment of time and effort. What's the Catch?Stress - like food - comes to us daily in many forms. As a result - we have to learn to manage stress on a daily basis. This will require that you commit to giving yourself at least 10 minutes of self-focused time at least every other day. Can you handle that? If not - then stress really does have the upper hand in your life and you need to get off the computer and call me immediately! Just kidding - sort of - but you know what I mean! I am certain that you will be able to find these 10 minutes every other day once you begin to realize the wonderful benefits.
